What Forgiveness Taught Me About Gratitude - When Life Was the Hardest
Gratitude isn’t what I thought it was.

For years, I thought gratitude was a feeling you waited for, something that arrived after the hard thing ended. Then I started learning to forgive things I thought I’d never forgive, and gratitude rewrote itself in front of me. It became a practice. A discipline. A way of seeing what God was doing even when I couldn’t feel it.
In this video, I share everything I’ve learned about real gratitude through years of forgiveness- the morning habit that quietly retrained my mind, why “just be grateful” is sometimes the worst thing to say to someone in pain, what gratitude compounded into after the hardest years of my life, and the question that changed how I pray every night: what if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday?
This is Step 5 of the FORGIVEness framework - Invest in Gratitude - from my book Unwrapping Forgiveness: The Gift of Mercy and Grace, coming late summer 2026

Comment one thing you would NOT want to wake up without. I’ll be reading along.
